Can Do Canines is Minnesota's largest provider of assistance dogs and relies on individual contributions to support its important work of placing dogs for clients in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Since 1989, Can Do Canines has provided assistance dogs to people with disabilities free of charge.
The Disabled American Veterans of Minnesota supports and advocates for Minnesota veterans who are disabled in the defense of our nation. From transporting veterans to medical appointments, collecting clothing donations, and rallying at the Capitol for Veteran legislation, their members and supporters are working to ensure Veterans prosper long after they hang up the uniform.
Lake Country Mustang Club is honored to have awarded an academic scholarship to Emily Schumacher, Miss Minnesota 2024, using proceeds from the 2024 MATI 4 event. Emily, a dedicated healthcare professional with a CNA background at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, plans to pursue medical school after her year as Miss Minnesota. She is committed to community service as a certified CPR/AED instructor and 2022 Honors Graduate of Northern State University. Her initiative, "The Heart of the Matter," aims to raise awareness about heart health and prevention. The Miss Minnesota competition, held at Treasure Island Resort and Casino, provided a valuable platform to partner with our host partner, Treasure Island, and support academic excellence.
